CHITWAN, APRIL 11

Two persons died while seven others sustained injuries after the van they were travelling on collided with a culvert in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-19 of Chitwan district on Sunday morning.

The identities of the deceased who appear to be in their mid-40s and mid-50s have yet to be ascertained.

According to police, the van (na 1 Ja 6859), en route to Shardanagar from Bharatpur, lost control and collided with a culvert and fell on its sides at 9:35 am in Rampur, killing one on the spot and injuring eight others.

One of the critically injured breathed his last while undergoing medical treatment in Chitwan Medical College.

Meanwhile, among other seven injured, two are undergoing treatment in Chitwan Medical College, one in Chitwan Medical College, and four in Bharatpur Hospital. Two of the injured are in critical condition, informed the police.
